Ever since “Climate Connections”, we have been aware of the importance of healthy waterways. Kingston is on Lake Ontario and today we had an opportunity to join our FRC friends, K-botics 2809, to make a difference in our community by cleaning up our shore line as part of the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup. It was a really nice sunny day and it was a lot of fun to join with our friends. Boy, did we find a lot of weird stuff! A sock, part of a TV, carpet, a hose, and part of a composter…. In just a little while we were able to clean up a significant portion of the shore. We hope our story will inspire you to make a difference in the community where you live too. It doesn’t matter how old you are and it doesn’t have to take long – find something you can do in your community and let us know about the impact you have had!
