August 15-19, 2016 – LEGO Challenge Conquest  (ages 9-14)
Building, programming and teamwork challenges will provide fun learning opportunities for campers.  Students will gain valuable time management, communications and problem solving skills as they design and program their LEGO robots to complete a variety of challenges. A range of fun and educational  activities will introduce students to the world of engineering!  April 4 update:  Camp full pending receipt of payment, currently taking names for wait list only.
August 22-26, 2016 – Full STEAM Ahead (ages 6-9)
Together we will learn the importance of “Core Values” as we use LEGO to explore STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math).  A variety of hands-on learning activities, teamwork exercises, and games will help develop a broad range of skills all in these budding engineers of tomorrow!   March 21 update:  Camp full pending receipt of payment, currently taking names for wait list only.
Monday to Friday: 9am-3pm
Location:  Pump House Steam Museum: 23 Ontario St, Kingston, ON K7L 2Y2
Students need to bring their own (nut free) lunch, morning and afternoon snack.
Cost: $300 
All profits will go to support our community-based Robotics Team for area High School Students.  Early drop off and late pick up available with prior arrangements.  See registration form for details.

*Space is limited!  We reserve the right to cancel if minimum numbers are not reached.
(Unfortunately our space does not have handicapped accessible washroom facilities.)

No experience necessary, just an eagerness to learn and the ability to focus!

DSC_1988Christine comes to us with 10 years of experience mentoring award winning FIRST LEGO League teams.  She has a true passion showing students just how much fun you can have learning about Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math through robotics.  Many would say that Christine eat, sleeps and breathes robotics!  Christine chairs the local FIRST LEGO League regional and also mentors our high school robotics team.

DSC_9275We are thrilled to announce that Eden is back with us for her third year!  Eden is the captain of our FRC robotics team and a experienced FIRST LEGO League referee.  Eden is also a member of the W.A.F.F.L.E.S. Vex team.She has 10 years experience as a FIRST LEGO League participant and 1 year as a mentor.     In January she received the youth mentor award at the eastern provincial FIRST LEGO League championships.DSC_3259

Josh is  back with us again this year!  He comes to us as a former FIRST LEGO League participant and current FIRST Robotics Competition team member.  Josh also served as a FIRST LEGO League ref at the Kingston Regional for the past two years.  Josh has lots of experience working with area youth, including summer camps.  Campers will love Josh and his bubbly personality!

Helping us out this year we have three experienced middle school students with lots of robotics experience:  Meena, Logan, Cole and Anica.
